Hazrat Sheikh Syedna Abdul Qadir Jilani Gilani, also known as Ghous Azam, is one of the most important Sufis of the Sunni Hanbali system, the founder of the Shaykh and the Qadriyya dynasty.
He was born on 17th March, 1078 AH, in the western city of Gilan, Kermanshah province of Iran, which is also called Kaylan, and hence another name for him, Sheikh Abdul Qadir Kaylani.

جب کوئی بندہ گناہ کرتے وقت دروازے بند کر لیتا ہے، تو حق تعالیٰ فرماتا ہے، اے ابنِ آدم تو نے لوگوں سے شرم کے سبب دروازہ بند کر کے گناہ کیا، لیکن مجھ سے شرم نہ کی، میں تو دیکھ ہی رہا ہوں، تو نے مجھے اپنے ہم جنسوں سے بھی کم تر سمجھا ۔
When a servant closes the door while committing a sin, the Almighty says, O son of Adam, you have sinned by closing the door to the people out of shame, but do not shame me, I am just watching. Considered me inferior to my peers.
توبہ کرنے کے بعد پھر گناہ کرنا ستر گناہوں کے برابر ہے ۔

1: Repentance to sin 2: Lying and adultery to sustenance 3: Charity to evil 4: Backbiting to good deeds 5: Grief to age 6: Anger to reason 7: Arrogance to knowledge 8: Oppression or bribery to justice 9: Good to evil 10: And give alms by giving alms.
مستحق سائل خدا کا ہدیہ ہیں جو بندوں کی بھلائی کے لیے اُن کے پاس بھیجے جاتے ہیں ۔
